Our Legacy families are very important because you have chosen to make OU a family tradition!  This page showcases special opportunities available to our Legacy students and families.  A Legacy student is defined as an individual whose parent, grandparent, sibling, aunt or uncle received a degree or academic certificate from OU.

So we can keep you informed of special Legacy student and family opportunities like those listed on the tabs below, be sure to complete our Legacy Identifier Form.

If you have any questions about our Legacy scholarships, events or programming, please contact Amanda Fylan, assistant director of alumni relations, at fylan@oakland.edu.

Legacy Night at the O’rena – Every year during basketball season, the OUAA hosts current Legacy students and their families for Legacy Night at the O’rena. We enjoy a pregame dinner on campus followed by a Golden Grizzlies basketball game.

The OUAA hosts many events throughout the year. Some of our signature events include OU Night at Comerica Park, the Alumni Awards Banquet and the OUAA Golf Challenge.  And don’t forget about the campus-wide Homecoming and Reunion Weekend!

For the most up to date event information, visit the OUAA events calendar.
