Matthew Baumgarten, CAS '09
City Manager, City of Berkley

Best memory from OU:
Working with students and professors as a Graduate Assistant for the MPA Program

Prideful accomplishment:
Becoming a father to my two sons, Samuel and Wesley.

If you could come back to OU and take one class over again, which class would you take and why?
I would retake Governmental Accounting with Joe Ferrari. Joe is a phenomenal treasure and a wealth of knowledge and public sector accounting is an incredible important skillset for City Managers.

If you could eat only one type of food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
It would Chinese food from Oceania Inn around the corner from campus. It has been a favorite of mine since I was at OU.

What is your hidden talent?
I will have to let you known I finally find it.

If you could have any super hero power, what would it be and why?
I would love the ability to duplicate myself and be in more than one place at a time. I could be, "Finally On Time Man."

If you were on a deserted island and could only take one thing, what would it be and why?
I would bring a crate of all the books on my yet-to-read list and hope the last inhabitant left a hammock behind.
