Silence is golden at Meadow Brook Hall. Enjoy a casual three-course dinner while watching silent film comedian Charlie Chaplin in City Lights
(1931) on the big screen in the Ballroom. The event will begin with brief remarks by Kyle Edwards, director of the OU cinema studies program, about Chaplin and the period in which he worked, as well as a special screening of The Chase
, the 2012 Grizzdance Student Short Film Festival winner that pay homage to the era. Tickets are $35 per person. Click here

Explore the Gilda Snowden retrospective exhibition, entitled, Gilda Snowden: Album, a Retrospective 1977-2010
. Snowden, a Detroit artist with a career spanning over thirty years, was one of the inaugural Kresge Foundation Fellows in 2009. A wine and hors d'oeuvres reception will feature a talk from Dick Goody, director of the Oakland University Art Gallery. Tickets are $15 per person. Click here

Oakland Symphony Orchestra performance at Orchestra Hall
