Enjoy a spine-chilling night at Meadow Brook Hall with a casual three-course dinner while watching Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film, Psycho, on the big screen in the Ballroom. Brief remarks will be presented by Professor Hunter Vaughan, OU Cinema Studies, about the birth of the American thriller film and life and career of Hitchcock. Tickets are $25 per person.

Bringing together the intriguing work of six photo-based artists of international repute, Shadows of the Invisible casts light upon a spectrum of energy fields, emanations, perceptual imaginings, and subconscious imaging rendered tangible by photographic technologies. A wine and hors d’oeuvre reception will feature a talk from Professor Claude Baillargeon, director of Art History and curator of the exhibit. Tickets are $15 per person.

Student production of Pirates of Penzance in Varner Recital Hall

Gilbert and Sullivan's delightful 1880 masterpiece of theatre and wit comes to Varner Recital Hall! Filled with charming tunes and comic banter, the Pirates of Penzance is a delight for all audiences. Follow the comical trials of Frederick as he attempts to escape his apprenticeship to the Pirate King in order to wed his new found love, Mabel. Join us for a pre-show dinner in the Oakland Center Banquet Rooms at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20 for dinner and the show.
Oakland Symphony Orchestra performance at Detroit Symphony Hall

The full majesty of Orchestra Hall will provide a fitting backdrop to the Oakland Symphony Orchestra’s final concert of the season. This concert will feature the music of Morten Lauridsen in performances by the Oakland Symphony, Oakland University Symphony Chorus and Oakland University Wind Symphony. The featured works will be Lux Aeterna for orchestra and chorus; O Magnum Mysterium (arranged for wind ensemble); Sure on This Shining Night for chorus and piano, and more. Morten Lauridsen will attend. Gregory Cunningham and Michael Mitchell, conductors. Tickets are $20 and include a pre-show reception at 6 p.m.
