Lit to Film Book Club

“The film was nothing like the book!”

Much of today’s cinema is inspired by classic, modern and contemporary literature, but how often do filmmakers stay faithful to the book that’s the inspiration for their film? Join the Oakland University Alumni Association and the Kresge Library for a stimulating and unique approach to the classic book club, as the Lit to Film Book Club explores the transition and interpretation of literature on the silver screen.

Free book – open to all!
The OUAA Lit to Film Book Club meets in Kresge Library room 225B at 6 p.m. Members read the book before the meeting date and have a discussion following the viewing of the film. Meetings are typically over by 9 p.m.

The book club is sponsored by Kresge Library and the Oakland University Alumni Association.  A Lit to Film Book Club meetings are open to anyone.  If you have ever thought about attending a Lit to Film meeting, this is the perfect opportunity to do so. Bring your spouse, friend, or neighbor!
